John Senters was born September 16, 1959 in Detroit Michigan and is the youngest of eight children. At the age of fourteen his parents moved to Mustang, Oklahoma, where he received Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and was filled with the Holy Spirit.
At the age of eighteen he spent a year and half on one of Jimmy Swaggard's radio stations; 105.3 KJIL. His parents then moved to Spencer, Oklahoma where he would enter the ministry with the help and teaching of Rev. William Boutwell. It was in this church that he met the woman of his dreams and the 'pastor's daughter', Carol.
Together they would conduct meetings in nursing homes and in local parks until they were asked to pastor the Newcastle Pentecostal Holiness Church in Newcastle, Oklahoma. John and Carol would spend the next ten years pastoring the church and traveling with Morris Cerrullo World Evangelism Ministries.
In February of 1990 they moved to Geneva, Indiana and began what would be an almost fifteen year tenure as pastors for Trinity Life Chapel. They began to feel that God was leading them somewhere else and God opened the door for them to accept the Heartland Christian Fellowship Church in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Heartland Christian Fellowship would later become Destiny Christian Center. John and Carol still travel some, but their heart's desire is to serve, lead and be a part of what God unfolds at Destiny Christian Center.
John & Carol are the parents of six children, three in college and three still living at home. They currently reside in Elkton, Virginia
